The State of Ohio Mandates New ATV/UTV Laws

By james | June 8, 2010

Yesterday the new law went into effect which makes it mandatory for all ATV and UTV (this includes youth ATVs and UTVs too) vehicles in Ohio to be registered and display a license plate. Just because your ATV is registered doesn’t allow you to legally drive it on the road. You can still get a ticket for operating one on a highway or street. I imagine this type of law will spread nationwide.

The registration will be $34.50 per ATV.

You can check out Ohio ATV Safety to see the complete list of rules.
