When selecting pit bike graphics make sure that you are selecting the kit that matches your pit bike. It may sound simple and it really is. There are few variations of pit bike graphic models to choose from. Most are modeled around the CRF 50 platform but the KLX 110 model styles are becoming more popular. Just take a careful look at the pit bike you own or are purchasing. Most easily notable is the tank shrouds. You’ll notice the curvature of these plastic pieces and that will give you the best shot at matching the graphics to your pit bike. Good luck and safe riding.

A few safety notes for pit bike riding. Before you ride your pit bike you should always check to make sure all parts and fasteners are secure and tight. Often riders will screws, nuts and bolts etc. with a product called Loctite. This keeps the parts from vibrating loose while riding. Parts and fasteners should always be checked however. Always test brakes, throttle , chain (slack) correct operation before riding your pit bike. In addition, check that fluids are at their correct level before going out as well. Safety gear is very important. Always wear a helmet, long pants and shirt, riding boots, gloves and goggles. Remember to always keep your pit bike and gear in proper working condition and never ride beyond your capability. Good luck and have fun riding.

Where in the state of Florida do you ride your ATV? If you think there are only a few options, think again! Florida is a wonderful cornucopia of terrain, which is perfect for riding your new XT Powersports ATV. Consider these ride areas for your next adventure.

If you’re in the Brooksville area, you may want to check out the Croom Motorcycle Area. This park consists of 2,600 acres of riding area with a terrain that ranges from hardwood hammocks and tight scrubs to numerous pits left from discontinued mining operations. This area is open 365 days a year, with very little weather limitations. Permits are required for each ATV, but overnight camping is available. If you’re heading a little more south, be sure to check out the Milton E. Thompson Park. Designed for a more advanced motocross rider, this park contains a 15-foot-tall bridge jump with tunnels, moguls, jumps, and turns. Manmade kales, live oak and palm trees, and a wetland marsh prairie permeate the land.

In the center of the state are parks in Bushnell and Ocala. Mud Muckers in Bushnell is a relatively new ATV park that consists of 19,000 acres of trail, a Circle Mud track, and a mud drag strip. You should consider visiting the Ocala National Forest for its off-road motorcycle trails, ATV trails, and mixed-use roads.

As always, ride responsibly and call the location you plan on visiting ahead of time for the most up-to-date information on trail statuses. At XT Powersports, you can be sure that you will receive the highest quality ATV parts possible. Please give us a call today at 1-866-841-4206.

When riding your pit bike in different soils you need to make sure you ride for that type of application. Sandy soil will tend to be very loose and is hard to steer in and also allows the rear end of the pit bike to slide out when pushing the gas in a corner. Clay will be more sticky feeling for pit bikes and will give a more controlled feel. Rocks are going to seem very slippery and easier to loose control on when riding your pit bike. Most competition tracks will try and adjust their soil composition to where its a loose feeling soil (but not to loose) that allows the tires to grip to the soil. Whatever the soil composition your riding on take great care in getting used to the surface you’re riding on before you start to push your pit bike hard. Take a few practice laps first and then be more aggressive with your pit bike. Don’t forget to always check your fluid levels, all parts are secure/ screws are tight, the mechanics of your pit bike work correctly (especially brakes and throttle) before each and every ride. Be safe and enjoy.
